SDS supports and strengthens the Amatsya Fish Farmers Producer Organisation (FFPO) as a collective institutional platform for enhancing the livelihood, productivity, and market access of fish farmers engaged in aquaculture and inland fisheries.

The Amatsya FFPO is a farmer-led organization formed to bring fish farmers together under a unified structure to ensure better coordination, shared resources, and improved bargaining power in the fisheries value chain. It plays a key role in promoting sustainable aquaculture practices, modern fish farming techniques, and efficient resource utilization.

Through this organization, farmers are encouraged to adopt scientific fish culture practices, including improved pond management, quality fish seed stocking, balanced feeding practices, and disease management systems.
