VDMP

SDS supports the implementation of the Village Development Management Plan (VDMP) as a participatory and integrated planning framework aimed at ensuring holistic and sustainable development at the village level.

VDMP is a structured planning tool that helps villages identify their development needs, prioritize interventions, and prepare a roadmap for social, economic, and environmental progress. It focuses on bottom-up planning, where community members actively participate in decision-making and development prioritization.

Under SDS initiatives, VDMP integrates key sectors such as agriculture, livelihood, water resources, infrastructure, health, education, and natural resource management into a unified village development strategy. Special emphasis is given to sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and income-generating activities for rural households.

The plan promotes convergence of multiple government schemes and programs, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and avoiding duplication of efforts. It strengthens coordination between Gram Panchayats, community institutions, Producer Groups, and Farmer Producer Organizations.

VDMP also focuses on capacity building, awareness generation, and institutional strengthening to ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and long-term sustainability of development activities.
