GPDMP

SDS supports the implementation of the Gram Panchayat Development Management Plan (GPDMP) as a decentralized planning framework for strengthening local governance and ensuring sustainable, participatory rural development at the Gram Panchayat level.

GPDMP is a comprehensive planning tool that guides Gram Panchayats in identifying local development priorities, resource requirements, and implementation strategies. It aims to ensure need-based planning, efficient resource utilization, and convergence of multiple government schemes for holistic village development.

Under SDS initiatives, GPDMP is used to integrate agriculture, livelihood, infrastructure, and social sector interventions into a single village development framework. Special emphasis is placed on aligning plans with sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, water management, and livelihood enhancement activities.

The plan promotes community participation and bottom-up planning, ensuring that local needs and priorities of farmers, women, youth, and marginalized groups are properly reflected. It strengthens transparency and accountability in village-level development processes.

GPDMP also facilitates the convergence of programs such as agriculture production clusters, producer groups, irrigation systems, plantation drives, and rural infrastructure schemes to maximize development impact.
